How much do you charge?
Each client is unique, therefore my prices are customized based on client’s needs. The form below helps us get started by giving me a glimpse into the scope of your photography project.
Do you edit your own images?
Yes… and no. I typically edit the majority of my own images. All of the images on my webpage have been edited by myself using programs like Photoshop, Capture One and Lightroom. Depending on the needs of my clients I may have a staff retoucher edit for me, or outsource editing to a third party if there are time constraints.
Where do you live?
I live in Rosenberg TX with my wife, 3 kids and 2 dogs. Why... Are you a creeper?
How far will you travel?
I will travel to where the job is. Destination photography is a love of mine! See my travel photography packages that can boost any fashion branding to new heights!
Do you provide video service?
We have a highly capable and creative team of film experts on staff.
Do you have an assistant?
Yes, but second and third assistant jobs do come up. Feel free to email a resume if interested.
Do you accept interns?
Yes. Inquire about internships here.
I have a super cool location in mind for my fashion shoot! Do I need a permit?
Quite possibly. Permits are dependent upon the location. If it is a public location I will do my best to secure a permit for you. *Note: Permits typically cost money. $30 Service fees may apply.
How long does it take to receive my images?
This is based upon a case by case basis. I do my best to provide clients with proofing images within 96 hours of photoshoot. *Note: I under promise and over deliver.
Will my images be watermarked?
No. I never watermark final images delivered to clients.
How many images will I relieve?
Refer to your contract for the answer to this question. It will be the agreed upon amount of images.
May I have the RAW files? What are raw files? Why am I asking for this?
No. Raw files are images processed directly out of the camera. They typically look dark, flat, and need specialized software to use. See a detailed description of Raw vs. .jpg in the blog. I do not give raw (unedited) images to clients. Clients typically ask for this wanting to know how they may use their images. This is always defined in the Usage Agreement signed before our shoot starts.
*We do not sell images. We license them and their use over a defined period of time.
Who owns the copyright of the images?
Unless otherwise agreed upon and defined in the User Agreement the photo studio always retains copyrights to images. If you're interested in owning the copyrights to images Black Smith Photo or employees have created gain a better understanding of what this means via this article.
Can we see the outtakes and all the images that didn’t make the “final cut”?
A typical four hour shoot with two models may have about 600-800 images. We eliminate the testing images, delete the images with blinking eyes, outfit malfunctions and other mishaps to keep clients from having to deal with them. No one wants to see these images. See our Out Takes Blog here for more info.
